In Castronno, Liuteria Cocopelli is the lutherie workshop specialized in the design, construction and construction of plucked stringed instruments for anyone who wants a one-of-a-kind handcrafted plucked instrument, but also for those who simply need to customize, repair or setup the own plucked instrument
The production and construction of plucked instruments ranges from the early music plucked instruments, including lutes and re-proposing historical reproductions of Baroque and Renaissance mandolins and classical guitars, to the most current and modern instruments such as electric basses, electric guitars and acoustic guitars: historical reproductions are faithfully created according to philological methods, while the construction of each custom musical instrument is studied and built in collaboration with the musician with an eye for technological innovation, design, finishing, choice of hardware and relationship among all aspects and technical details.
In the Liuteria Cocopelli’s workshop, structural repairs of every kind and type of plucked instrument are carried out daily, starting from:

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MASTER LUTHIER SIMONE ASSUNTO

Simone Assunto, owner of Liuteria Cocopelli’s shop, graduated as a master luthier in 2008 at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano, with a specialization in plucked string instruments.
During his training he attended most of school courses to learn the best lutherie techniques from the most famous Italian luthiers as Tiziano Rizzi, Lorenzo Lippi, Federico Gabrielli and Gabriele Negri, and other Masters, also participating in supplementary courses focused on painting, tuning of acoustic and electric guitars, guitar electronics and plucked instruments maintenance.
