The classical guitars crafted by master luthier Simone Assunto represent the genesis of liuteria Cocopelli workshop

Beginning with the initial models, inspired solely by the renowned luthiers of the Spanish tradition, we have since progressed to develop more personalized and avant-garde iterations. These advancements prioritize efficiency and innovation while honoring our roots.

Our selection of woods is meticulously curated to ensure optimal results. For the soundboard, Italian red spruce is preferred, occasionally complemented by cedar. The back and sides are crafted from rosewood or maple, along with other domestically sourced woods.

Each neck is fashioned from cedar or mahogany, and features an ebony fingerboard. Liuteria cocopelli outfits al instruments with high-quality tuners such as Alessi and apply natural shellac-based finishes by hand.
